Mississippi High School Basketball - Calhoun City holds off Ingomar
January 25, 2024: Calhoun City, MS 38916 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Calhoun City Wildcats (Calhoun City, MS) and the visiting Ingomar Falcons (New Albany, MS), saw Calhoun City's basketball squad hold off Ingomar by a tally of 53-51.
With the victory, Calhoun City improves its record to 14-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Okolona (Okolona, MS) to confront the Chieftains in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 26. The Chieftains come into the challenge with a record of 10-10. Okolona lost 89-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Booneville (Booneville, MS)
Next up, the Falcons confront the Water Valley Blue Devils (Water Valley, MS) in a 2A Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Ingomar will attempt to improve on its 16-9 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 61-59 league win over Bruce (Bruce, MS).
