Oregon High School Basketball - Clatskanie nips Nestucca
January 25, 2024: Cloverdale, OR 97112 Clatskanie Tigers (Clatskanie, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Nestucca Bobcats (Cloverdale, OR), 40-36 in a league bout.
With the win, Clatskanie upgrades its record to 4-10 on the season. The Tigers travel to Portland Christian (Portland, OR) to play the Royals in a 2A Northwest bout on Saturday, January 27. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 16-1. Portland Christian won 49-36 in their recent non-league bout against Mannahouse Christian Academy (Eugene, OR)
Next up, the Bobcats play the Knappa Loggers (Astoria, OR) in a 2A Northwest bout, on Friday, January 26. Nestucca will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Loggers go into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 58-51 league loss to Vernonia/Jewell (Vernonia, OR).
