Texas High School Basketball - First Baptist Academy nudges Gateway Christian
January 25, 2024: San Antonio, TX 78242 First Baptist Academy Eagles (Universal City, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Gateway Christian Eagles (San Antonio, TX), 38-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, First Baptist Academy upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Eagles travel to Faith Academy (Victoria, TX) to clash with the Cougars in a TAPPS 1A District 5 bout on Friday, January 26. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Faith Academy won 60-44 in their recent league bout against River City Believers Academy (San Antonio, TX)
Next up, the Eagles clash with the First Baptist Academy Eagles (Universal City, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Gateway Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
