The South Lamar Stallions basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Lamar County Bulldogs to 61 in the Stallions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Stallions now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Berry for a 1A Area 9 contest on Monday, January 29. South Lamar will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 61-40 league loss to Pickens County (Reform, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-13.
