January 25, 2024: Baton Rouge, LA 70820 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) and the host Louisiana School for the Deaf War Eagles (Baton Rouge, LA), saw Mississippi School for the Deaf's basketball squad wallop Louisiana School for the Deaf by a tally of 53-28.
With the victory, Mississippi School for the Deaf improves its record to 2-15 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf (Wilson, NC) to confront the Fighting Hornet in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 26. The Fighting Hornet come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf won 61-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Georgia School for the Deaf (Cave Spring, GA)
Next up, the War Eagles confront the First Baptist Christian Eagles (Slidell, LA) in a C District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Louisiana School for the Deaf will attempt to improve on its 2-18 season record.
