Alabama High School Basketball - Piedmont tops Sand Rock
January 25, 2024: Piedmont, AL 36272 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Piedmont Bulldogs (Piedmont, AL) and the visiting Sand Rock Wildcats (Leesburg, AL), saw Piedmont's basketball squad knock off Sand Rock by a count of 45-29.
With the victory, Piedmont upgrades its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to White Plains (Anniston, AL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 26. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 18-8. White Plains won 61-36 in their recent league challenge against Cleburne County (Heflin, AL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Cedar Bluff Tigers (Cedar Bluff, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Sand Rock will attempt to upgrade on its 2-24 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 7-18 record after their 50-38 league loss to Spring Garden (Spring Garden, AL).
