New York High School Basketball - Aquinas Institute knocked off by Nichols

The Nichols Vikings basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Aquinas Institute Little Irish to 61 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Vikings now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sacred Heart Academy for a Monsignor Martin contest on Tuesday, January 30. Nichols will battle a Sharks team coming off a 66-51 non-league win over Sweet Home (Amherst, NY). The Sharks record now stands at 7-8.

The Little Irish (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Nardin Academy (Buffalo, NY). The Gators enter the non-league contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Nardin Academy was defeated by St. Mary's (Lancaster, NY), 59-21, in a league contest.
