Washington High School Basketball - R.A. Long knocked off by Columbia River
January 25, 2024: Vancouver, WA 98665 The Columbia River Rapids basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting R.A. Long Lumberjacks to 42 in the Rapids league triumph on Thursday.
The Rapids now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hudson's Bay for a 2A Greater St. Helens contest on Friday, January 26. Columbia River will meet a Eagles team coming off a 62-53 league loss to Ridgefield (Ridgefield, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-2.
The Lumberjacks (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Woodland (Woodland, WA). The Beavers enter the 2A Greater St. Helens contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, Woodland ran past Washougal (Washougal, WA), 43-38, in a league contest.
