Arizona High School Basketball - Cortez overwhelms Tempe
January 25, 2024: Phoenix, AZ 85051 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ) and the visiting Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ), saw Cortez's basketball squad wallop Tempe by a tally of 52-23.
With the victory, Cortez improves its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Colts host Dysart (El Mirage, AZ) to confront the Demons in a 4A Black Canyon challenge on Friday, January 26. The Demons come into the challenge with a record of 16-8.
Next up, the Buffaloes confront the Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon challenge, on Friday, January 26. Tempe will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Dons come into the challenge with a 5-15 record after their 58-16 league loss to Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ).
