The Hughes BIG RED basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Belmont Bison to 23 in the BIG RED non-league triumph on Saturday.

The BIG RED now have a 13-4 record. They play next when they travel to Taft for a Cincinnati Metro game on Friday, January 31.

With the loss, Belmont falls to 2-13 on the campaign. The Bison travel to Meadowdale (Dayton, OH) to confront the Lions in a Dayton Public game on Tuesday, January 28. The Lions go into the game with a record of 6-9. Meadowdale lost 70-41 in their recent non-league game against Wayne (Huber Heights, OH)
