In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Eastern Comets basketball team scored a big 83-36 triumph over the Southern Wells Raiders.

The Comets (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Rossville (Rossville, IN). The Hornets go into the Hoosier Heartland contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Rossville smashed Seeger (West Lebanon, IN), 61-47, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Muncie Burris Owls (Muncie, IN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Southern Wells will attempt to better on its 0-10 season record. The Owls go into the contest with a 0-11 record after their 49-27 non-league loss to South Adams (Berne, IN).
