The Valley Christian Trojans basketball squad (Chandler, AZ), was nipped 44-42 in Saturday's non-league test with the host Gilbert Christian Knights (Gilbert, AZ)

Next, the Knights clash with the Benjamin Franklin Chargers (Queen Creek, AZ) in a 3A Metro test, on Monday, January 27. Gilbert Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 15-6 season record. The Chargers come into the test with a 8-12 record after their 52-27 league win over Bourgade Catholic (Phoenix, AZ).

The Trojans (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Coolidge (Coolidge, AZ). The Bears come into the 3A Central test with a 13-9 record. In their last test, Coolidge held off Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ), 47-40, in a non-league test.
