January 25, 2025: Roswell, NM 88201 Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM), 68-16 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Goddard upgrades its record to 12-8 on the year. The Rockets travel to Portales (Portales, NM) to face the Rams in a 4A District 4 match on Friday, January 31. The Rams enter the match with a record of 10-9. Portales won 40-35 in their recent non-league match against Roswell (Roswell, NM)
The Desert Warriors now sport a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ruidoso for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. Santa Teresa will face a Warriors squad coming off a 47-20 non-league loss to Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 10-8.
