January 25, 2025: Walnut Ridge, AR 72476 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Walnut Ridge Bobcats (Walnut Ridge, AR) and the visiting Hillcrest Screamin Eagles (Strawberry, AR), observed Walnut Ridge's basketball team overcome Hillcrest by a margin of 50-30.
The Bobcats (8-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Newport (Newport, AR). The Greyhounds come into the 3A Region 3 challenge with a 14-8 record. In their last challenge, Newport dropped by Rivercrest (Wilson, AR), 63-56, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Screamin Eagles battle the Cedar Ridge Timberwolves (Newark, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Hillcrest will attempt to better on its 4-16 season record. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 62-33 league win over Mammoth Spring (Mammoth Spring, AR).
