The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT) and the visiting Stonington Bears (Stonington, CT), observed Windham's basketball team overcome Stonington by a score of 43-28.

The Whippets (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Norwich Free Academy defeated Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT), 46-28, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Lyman Memorial Bulldogs (Lebanon, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Stonington will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 45-38 league loss to Wheeler (North Stonington, CT).
