Brewer Patriots (Somerville, AL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Brindlee Mountain Lions (Guntersville, AL), 43-20 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Brewer upgrades its record to 10-13 on the campaign. The Patriots host New Hope (New Hope, AL) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 15-4. New Hope won 61-51 in their recent non-league bout against St. John Paul II (Huntsville, AL)

Next up, the Lions play the Coosa Christian Conquerors (Gadsden, AL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Brindlee Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record.
