The Meade Buffaloes basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the visiting Ashland Blue Jays to 34 in the Buffaloes non-league victory on Thursday.

The Buffaloes now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kiowa County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28. Meade will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 36-23 non-league win over South Central (Coldwater, KS). The Mavericks record now stands at 9-3.

The Blue Jays (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against South Central (Coldwater, KS). The Timberwolves come into the non-league contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, South Central was nudged by Kiowa County (Greensburg, KS), 36-23, in a non-league contest.
