Illinois High School Basketball - Civic Memorial holds off Triad
January 26, 2023: Troy, IL 62294 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL) and the host Triad Knights (Troy, IL), saw Civic Memorial's basketball squad hold off Triad by a tally of 40-39.
With the victory, Civic Memorial improves its record to 13-13 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 9-11. Edwardsville won 45-31 in their recent league challenge against Belleville East (Belleville, IL)
Next up, the Knights confront the Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 30. Triad will attempt to improve on its 4-18 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 5-16 record after their 43-38 non-league loss to Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL).
