In Thursday's league match, the host Mt. Hope Huskies basketball team scored a tight 52-49 triumph over the East Greenwich Avengers.

In their next game, the Huskies meet the Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Monday, January 30. Mt. Hope will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Clippers come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 43-36 league win over Cranston East (Cranston, RI).
