Rhode Island High School Basketball - East Greenwich tops Cranston East

January 18, 2023: East Greenwich, RI 02818

Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the East Greenwich Avengers (East Greenwich, RI) and the visiting Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI), saw East Greenwich's basketball squad knock off Cranston East by a count of 59-48.

With the victory, East Greenwich upgrades its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Avengers travel to Moses Brown (Providence, RI) to play the Quakers in a Division 2 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Quakers come into the challenge with a record of 10-0. Moses Brown won 40-37 in their recent league challenge against Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI)

Next up, the Thunderbolts play the Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Cranston East will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record.
