Rhode Island High School Basketball - Cranston East tipped by Cumberland

The Cumberland Clippers basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Cranston East Thunderbolts to 36 in the Clippers league triumph on Friday.

The Clippers now sport a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Hope for a Division 2 contest on Monday, January 30. Cumberland will meet a Huskies team coming off a 52-49 league win over East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Huskies record now stands at 10-5.

The Thunderbolts (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI). The Mounties enter the Division 2 contest with a 14-3 record. In their last contest, Mount St. Charles Academy nudged Prout (Wakefield, RI), 47-24, in a league contest.
