January 26, 2023: Sacramento, CA 95833 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Fortune Early College Panthers (Sacramento, CA) and the visiting John Adams Academy Patriots (Roseville, CA), saw Fortune Early College's basketball squad hold off John Adams Academy by a count of 42-38.
With the victory, Fortune Early College upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Ben Holt College Prep Academy (Stockton, CA) to play the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Ben Holt College Prep Academy won 47-26 in their recent league challenge against Aspire Langston Hughes Academy (Stockton, CA)
Next up, the Patriots play the Elite Eagles (Vallejo, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. John Adams Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 67-17 non-league loss to Vallejo (Vallejo, CA).
