In Thursday's league outing, the Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM) basketball squad edged the visiting Santa Rosa Lions (Santa Rosa, NM), by a margin of 49-46.

The Panthers (12-7) will now prepare for their outing against Clayton (Clayton, NM). The Yellowjackets go into the 2A District 6 outing with a 16-4 record. In their last outing, Clayton was tipped by Texico (Texico, NM), 39-29, in a league bout.
