Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Louisburg Warriors (Louisburg, NC), 42-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northwest Halifax upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Vikings host Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC) to clash with the Tigers in a bout on Friday, January 27. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Wilson Prep won 89-36 in their recent league bout against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Southern Nash Firebirds (Bailey, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Louisburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Firebirds go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 61-30 non-league win over Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC).
