Warren County Eagles (Warrenton, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC), 45-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Warren County upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Vance County (Henderson, NC) to play the Vipers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Vipers come into the bout with a record of 3-8. Vance County lost 67-29 in their recent non-league bout against Southern Durham (Durham, NC)

Next up, the Vikings play the Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Northwest Halifax will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 54-50 non-league win over Weldon (Weldon, NC).
