Kentucky High School Basketball - Elizabethtown nips Fern Creek
January 26, 2024: Elizabethtown, KY 42701 Elizabethtown Panthers (Elizabethtown, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Fern Creek Tigers (Louisville, KY), 56-53 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Elizabethtown upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Panthers host Fort Knox (Fort Knox, KY) to play the Eagles in a District 17 bout on Saturday, January 27. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Fort Knox lost 77-66 in their recent league bout against John Hardin (Elizabethtown, KY)
Next up, the Tigers play the Eastern Eagles (Louisville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Fern Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 14-7 record after their 57-47 non-league win over Evansville North (Evansville, IN).
