New York High School Basketball - Genesee Valley overwhelms Houghton Academy
January 26, 2024: Houghton, NY 14744 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Genesee Valley Jaguars (Belmont, NY) and the host Houghton Academy Panthers (Houghton, NY), saw Genesee Valley's basketball squad wallop Houghton Academy by a tally of 53-22.
With the victory, Genesee Valley improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Fillmore (Fillmore, NY) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 12-1. Fillmore won 72-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Geneseo (Geneseo, NY)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Mount Morris Blue Devils (Mount Morris, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Houghton Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 67-52 league win over Caledonia-Mumford (Caledonia, NY).
