Texas High School Basketball - Jefferson thwarts Waskom
January 26, 2024: Waskom, TX 75692 The Jefferson Bulldogs (Jefferson, TX) basketball knocked off the host Waskom Wildcats (Waskom, TX), 77-59 in Friday's league test.
The Bulldogs (20-5) will now prepare for their test against West Rusk (New London, TX). The Raiders go into the 3A Region II District 16 test with a 4-14 record. In their last test, West Rusk went down by Arp (Arp, TX), 47-38, in a league outing.
The Wildcats now own a 9-19 record. They play next when they travel to Tatum for a 3A Region II District 16 outing on Tuesday, January 30. Waskom will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 83-47 league win over Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 17-7.
