Illinois High School Basketball - Marmion overwhelmed by St. Francis
January 26, 2024: Wheaton, IL 60187 The St. Francis Spartans basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Marmion Cadets to 31 in the Spartans league victory on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host La Lumiere Blue for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. St. Francis will battle a Lakers team coming off a 82-78 league loss to Victory Christian Academy (Valparaiso, IN). The Lakers record now stands at 8-5.
The Cadets (11-13) will now prepare for their contest against Brother Rice (Chicago, IL). The Crusaders come into the Chicago Catholic - Blue contest with a 21-3 record. In their last contest, Brother Rice triumphed over Fenwick (Oak Park, IL), 67-51, in a league contest.
