January 26, 2024: Farmville, VA 23901 The Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA), 48-47 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (2-12) will now prepare for their test against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA). The Knights go into the James River test with a 11-4 record. In their last test, Buckingham got by Fork Union Military Academy (Fork Union, VA), 63-35, in a non-league test.
The Statesmen now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Amelia County for a James River test on Tuesday, January 30. Randolph-Henry will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 80-68 league win over Cumberland (Cumberland, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 10-5.
