Louisiana High School Basketball - Tensas nips Sicily Island
January 26, 2024: St. Joseph, LA 71366 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Tensas Panthers (St. Joseph, LA) and the visiting Sicily Island Tigers (Sicily Island, LA), saw Tensas's basketball squad hold off Sicily Island by a tally of 2-0.
With the victory, Tensas improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Panthers host Block (Jonesville, LA) to play the Bears in a 1A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 12-10. Block lost 65-53 in their recent league challenge against Delhi (Delhi, LA)
Next up, the Tigers play the Delta Charter Storm (Ferriday, LA) in a 1A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Sicily Island will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 1-14 record after their 63-39 league loss to Delhi Charter (Delhi, LA).
