Oklahoma High School Basketball - Varnum crushes Strother
January 26, 2024: Seminole, OK 74868 Varnum Whippets (Seminole, OK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Strother Yellowjackets (Seminole, OK), 72-42 in a league bout.
With the win, Varnum upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Whippets travel to Sasakwa (Sasakwa, OK) to clash with the Vikings in a Little River bout on Sunday, January 28. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 11-9. Sasakwa lost 64-27 in their recent non-league bout against Weleetka (Weleetka, OK)
Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the Okarche Warriors (Okarche, OK) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Strother will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 16-2 record after their 68-43 non-league win over Amber-Pocasset (Amber, OK).
