The Little Wound Mustangs basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Bennett County Warriors to 50 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine Ridge for a A Region 7 contest on Saturday, January 27. Little Wound will meet a Thorpes team coming off a 65-47 league loss to Todd County (Mission, SD). The Thorpes record now stands at 2-7.

The Warriors (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Jones County (Murdo, SD). The Coyotes enter the non-league contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Jones County nudged Gregory (Gregory, SD), 43-34, in a non-league contest.
