Louisiana High School Basketball - Church Point overwhelms Pine Prairie
January 26, 2024: Church Point, LA 70525 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA) and the visiting Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA), saw Church Point's basketball squad wallop Pine Prairie by a tally of 74-7.
With the victory, Church Point improves its record to 19-7 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Mamou (Mamou, LA) to play the Demons in a 3A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Demons come into the challenge with a record of 11-16. Mamou won 35-34 in their recent league challenge against Port Barre (Port Barre, LA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Ville Platte Bulldogs (Ville Platte, LA) in a 3A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Pine Prairie will attempt to improve on its 1-19 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 7-13 record after their 67-38 league loss to Iota (Iota, LA).
