Kansas High School Basketball - Lyndon overwhelms Council Grove
January 26, 2024: Lyndon, KS 66451 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lyndon Tigers (Lyndon, KS) and the visiting Council Grove Braves (Council Grove, KS), saw Lyndon's basketball squad wallop Council Grove by a tally of 47-24.
With the victory, Lyndon improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] (Wathena, KS) to play the Cyclones in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Cyclones come into the challenge with a record of 12-0. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] won 44-22 in their recent league challenge against Holton (Holton, KS)
Next up, the Braves play the Osage City Indians (Osage City, KS) in a non-league test, on Monday, January 29. Council Grove will attempt to advance on its 3-9 season record. The Indians go into the test with a 13-1 record after their 53-44 non-league win over Santa Fe Trail (Carbondale, KS).
