The Richfield Spartans basketball team (Richfield, MN), was overwhelmed 81-45 in Friday's league battle with the visiting DeLaSalle Islanders (Minneapolis, MN)

The Islanders now possess a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Robbinsdale Cooper for a AAA Section 6 battle on Tuesday, January 30. DeLaSalle will confront a Hawks team coming off a 67-34 non-league loss to Visitation (Mendota Heights, MN). The Hawks record now stands at 6-13.

The Spartans (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Minneapolis Southwest (Minneapolis, MN). The Lakers come into the non-league battle with a 15-3 record. In their last battle, Minneapolis Southwest trounced Minneapolis South (Minneapolis, MN), 66-26, in a non-league battle.
