Spring Lake Park Panthers (Spring Lake Park, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Elk River Elks (Elk River, MN), 61-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spring Lake Park upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Panthers travel to Becker (Becker, MN) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Becker won 61-23 in their recent non-league bout against Chisago Lakes Area (Lindstrom, MN)

Next up, the Elks clash with the Moorhead Spuds (Moorhead, MN) in a AAAA Section 8 bout, on Saturday, January 27. Elk River will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Spuds go into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 71-53 non-league win over St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN).
