Texas High School Basketball - Seymour crushes Petrolia

Seymour Panthers (Seymour, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Petrolia Pirates (Petrolia, TX), 53-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Seymour upgrades its record to 15-11 on the season. The Panthers host Nocona (Nocona, TX) to play the Indians in a 2A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 25-3. Nocona won 89-21 in their recent league bout against Archer City (Archer City, TX)

Next up, the Pirates play the Windthorst Trojans (Windthorst, TX) in a 2A Region II District 9 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Petrolia will attempt to improve on its 11-16 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 17-5 record after their 70-14 league win over Olney (Olney, TX).
