Virginia High School Basketball - Chancellor nips James Monroe
January 26, 2024: Fredericksburg, VA 22401 Chancellor Chargers (Fredericksburg, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA), 41-35 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Chancellor upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Chargers host Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 8-4. Courtland won 45-25 in their recent non-league bout against Culpeper County (Culpeper, VA)
Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. James Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 45-25 non-league loss to Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA).
