The George Washington Eagles basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting Halifax County Comets to 24 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Magna Vista for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. George Washington will battle a Warriors team coming off a 56-52 non-league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-9.

The Comets (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 9-2 record.
