The Branford Hornets basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Cheshire Rams to 46 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Hornets now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Career Magnet for a Southern Connecticut - Oronoque contest on Monday, January 31. Branford will meet a Panthers team coming off a 57-54 non-league loss to Amity Regional (Woodbridge, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 1-10.

The Rams (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Amity Regional (Woodbridge, CT). The Spartans enter the Southern Connecticut - Housatonic contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Amity Regional ran past Career Magnet (New Haven, CT), 57-54, in a non-league contest.
