Linden Patriots (Linden, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Johnson Eagles (Thomaston, AL), 43-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Linden upgrades its record to 3-11 on the season. The Patriots travel to Keith (Orrville, AL) to play the Bears in a 1A Area 5 bout on Friday, January 28. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 10-8. Keith won 67-36 in their recent league bout against University Charter (Livingston, AL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Hatch Bobcats (Uniontown, AL) in a 1A Area 5 bout, on Friday, January 28. Johnson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 86-33 league win over Johnson (Thomaston, AL).
