The New Haven Rockets basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Lincoln Abes to 8 in the Rockets league triumph on Thursday.

The Rockets now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to More Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, January 28. New Haven will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 29-13 non-league loss to Merritt Academy (New Haven, MI). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-1.

The Abes (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hazel Park (Hazel Park, MI). The Vikings enter the Macomb Area - Bronze contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Hazel Park was routed by Eastpointe (Eastpointe, MI), 53-45, in a league contest.
