The New York Mills Eagles basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines to 39 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Menahga for a non-league contest on Friday, January 28. New York Mills will battle a Braves team coming off a 70-30 non-league win over Bertha-Hewitt (Bertha, MN). The Braves record now stands at 13-1.

The Wolverines (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Perham (Perham, MN). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Perham nudged Frazee (Frazee, MN), 59-38, in a league contest.
