The Adams Cougars basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Seagoville Dragons to 42 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 15-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Samuell for a 5A Region II District 12 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Adams will battle a Spartans team coming off a 84-28 league loss to West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 3-18.

The Dragons (7-15) will now prepare for their contest against Spruce (Dallas, TX). The Timberwolves enter the 5A Region II District 12 contest with a 13-12 record. In their last contest, Spruce ran past Poteet (Mesquite, TX), 48-27, in a league contest.
