Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Ashdown Panthers (Ashdown, AR) and the visiting Hope Bobcats (Hope, AR), saw Ashdown's basketball squad hold off Hope by a tally of 66-61.

With the victory, Ashdown improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Nashville (Nashville, AR) to confront the Scrappers in a 4A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Scrappers come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Nashville won 43-40 in their recent league challenge against Camden Fairview (Camden, AR)

Next up, the Bobcats confront the Malvern Leopards (Malvern, AR) in a 4A Region 7 challenge, on Wednesday, February 1. Hope will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record.
