Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Liberty Eagles (Liberty, IL), 56-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brown County upgrades its record to 18-7 on the season. The Hornets travel to Augusta Southeastern (Augusta, IL) to clash with the Suns in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Suns go into the bout with a record of 15-5.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Barry Western Wildcats (Barry, IL) in a West Central game, on Tuesday, January 31. Liberty will attempt to move on its 3-19 season record.
