The Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) basketball crushed the visiting Cedar Shoals Jaguars (Athens, GA), 71-50 in Friday's league test.

The Bears (15-7) will now prepare for their test against North Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Trojans go into the AAAA Region 8A test with a 12-10 record. In their last test, North Hall walloped Seckinger (Buford, GA), 55-50, in a league test.

The Jaguars now own a 3-18 record. They play next when they travel to North Oconee for a AAAA Region 8B test on Tuesday, January 31. Cedar Shoals will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 71-44 league win over Johnson (Gainesville, GA). The Titans record now stands at 18-5.
