January 10, 2023: Flowery Branch, GA 30542 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) and the visiting Chestatee War Eagles (Gainesville, GA), saw Cherokee Bluff's basketball squad hold off Chestatee by a count of 71-66.
With the victory, Cherokee Bluff upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Bears host East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA) to play the Broncos in a AAAA Region 8A challenge on Friday, January 13. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 7-11. East Forsyth lost 78-70 in their recent league challenge against North Hall (Gainesville, GA)
Next up, the War Eagles play the Johnson Knights (Gainesville, GA) in a AAAA Region 8A challenge, on Friday, January 13. Chestatee will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 0-15 record after their 66-37 league loss to East Hall (Gainesville, GA).
