Georgia High School Basketball - Seckinger thwarts Chestatee
January 6, 2023: Buford, GA 30519 The Seckinger Jaguars (Buford, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Chestatee War Eagles (Gainesville, GA), 62-52 in Friday's league test.
The Jaguars (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA). The Warriors go into the AAAA Region 8B test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Walnut Grove notched a victory over Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA), 51-39, in a non-league test.
The War Eagles now own a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin County for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Chestatee will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 62-56 non-league loss to Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Lions record now stands at 5-9.
